Picture on the left shows part of the Bullring Centre. The 13,800 tonnes of fabricated steelwork supplied by Severfield-Reeve included 3,400 of fabricated plate girders. The special H-beam production line will be similar to the line delivered to Severfield-Reeve in 2001. Partner ESAB will deliver welding machines for the production line.

TTS Handling Systems AS has secured a contract to design, manufacture and commission a beam production line for JSW Severfield Structures of India/UK.

JSW Severfield Structures is a joint venture between UK based Severfield-Reeve and Indias giant conglomerate Jindal (JSW). Severfield-Reeve is one of the market leaders in structural steelwork and a former customer of TTS Handling Systems. Severfield-Reeve’s joint partner, Jindal (JSW) is ranked sixth amongst the top Indian business houses in terms of assets.

JSW Severfield Structures will work on design, production and erection of structural steel work needs of the Indian market. The new plant would initially start with a capacity of 35,000 tonnes annually. Vice Chairman and Managing Director, Sajjan Jindal said that there is a good scope for steel industry in India as higher use of steel is becoming popular in the country. Industry also prefers steel structure due to its durability, aesthetics and its time saving.
